This takes about 5 minutes and doesn't require access to anyone else's files. You'll make your own copy of the data, edit it, and watch the demo map read from it.
- Download the template: template.csv
- Go to sheets.new (creates a blank Google Sheet), then File → Import → Upload the template and choose Replace current sheet.
- Edit anything: change a project's
statustoComplete, rename a project, or add a row. For a new row, copy coordinates from Google Maps (right-click a spot → click the numbers at the top). - File → Share → Publish to web. Choose the sheet, change Web page to Comma-separated values (.csv), click Publish, and copy the link.
- Paste the link below and open the map.
Google refreshes published sheets every few minutes, so later edits can take up to about 5 minutes to appear. Valid values: type = Sidewalk/Trail, Intersection Safety, Streetscape, Transit; status = Planned, Underway, Complete. In the final version these become dropdowns and addresses are turned into coordinates automatically.
